April Caveman Camera Club News
April General Meeting News:
A.. There was a good Showing at the April general Meeting and new members continue to join our club.
B. Next Years’ Officers Nominations were brought to the floor: The term Begins: August 2008 to June 2009
Voting will take place at May General Meeting.
NOTE: If you are unable to attend May Meeting, You can should cast your vote before May 6th Send your votes via email: To President Ron
James at rjamesgang@aol.com before the May 7th Meeting Nominations are the following:
1. President: Gene Rimmer
2. Vice President: Rudy Dierks
3. Secretary: Marilyn Dierks
4. Treasurer: Paul Jordan
C. Members Competition Total Points -- Sept. to April:
The total points has not yet been given out to members Sue Jordan is working on it. Please be Patient. Individual Tallies
will be given out before May Meeting. Any photography that placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Honorable Mentions need to be brought to May Meeting.
D. CCC Executive Meetings: All members are invited to attend these meetings. They are held at the various officer’s or committees
homes: Next CCC Board is at the James' residence on May 13 at 7pm
E. Educational Camera Club Informal Gathering:
Next Third Wednesday Meeting "TWM" is at McDonald's May 21 at 7 pm
Ron James will discuss the art and techniques of "Photographing Kids
and Pets".
F. Caveman Camera Club Photo Show displayed at Creative Alternative Store: Visitors attending at “Friday’s
Opening: were 235
Many positive comments such as were: “Cool Show” “Beautiful Show” “Great Show” “Beautiful Show, especially the Crackling Fire”
“Photos are crisp and clean” and “Love It!” The photography on display until April 24th when show comes down. If you missed
“Friday Art Night”, still come and see our show during business hours. Mon-Fri 10am to 5pm. Display is in the back room |
